About Us
Rated 'Excellent' in its latest Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) inspection in February 2023, Springmead is a co-educational preparatory school located in Beckington, near Frome in Somerset. Springmead educates children holistically and thoroughly prepares them for the next stage of their education, teaching them the fundamental skills that are required not only at senior school but in life.
The Springmead Way
We proudly follow a whole-school approach to self-management and care, called The Springmead Way. All children and staff follow our set of sound, human values, which are:

- To treat others as you would be treated
These values underpin everything we do and are deeply embedded into school life. Children enjoy a weekly assembly which focuses on one of the values to help them reflect, understand themselves and each other, and raise self-awareness. Moreover, as children enter Year 5, they undergo comprehensive readiness training for our Ambassador programme. This initiative sees Year 6 pupils exemplifying the core values of the Springmead Way, assuming elevated roles of responsibility as the senior members of the school community.
We are a school of all faiths and none, welcoming children and families from all religious backgrounds.
